My friend, the painter Jill C. Fischman, painted this in response to the book. Perhaps the first in a series. I invite readers to engage creatively with the book: what does the emotional landscape and or physical terrain inspire? What is the color palette of yearning? the soundtrack of redemption? the shape of belonging? The stories in the book are my metaphors. What are yours?
